Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until glossy.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix into a thick batter.
- Let dough rest for 10 minutes for better texture.
- Scoop onto baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake 9–11 minutes until tops are cracked and centers are soft.
- Cool on tray for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not overbake or cookies will lose their fudgy center. Dough may look soft but firms up as it rests and bakes. Store airtight for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
