Servings: 28 Oreo balls

Ingredients

Oreo Base
  • 36 Oreo cookies classic, regular or golden
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
Coating
  • 12 oz white candy melts
  • 1 –2 teaspoons coconut oil or shortening optional, to thin coating
Decoration
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts
  • Red white & blue sprinkles

Method

  1. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or sealed bag with rolling pin.
  2. Mix crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until a thick dough forms.
  3. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined tray.
  4. Chill for at least 1–1.5 hours or freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt white candy melts until smooth, thinning slightly if needed.
  6. Dip each Oreo ball into coating, tap off excess, and place back on tray.
  7. Immediately drizzle with red and blue candy melts or add sprinkles.
  8. Let set completely at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.

Notes

Mixture must be firm before rolling or balls will collapse.
Do not overmix cream cheese or texture becomes too soft.
Chilling is essential for clean dipping and smooth coating.
Store in refrigerator due to cream cheese content.
Freeze for longer storage, up to 2 months.
