Ingredients

  • * 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • * 1/2 cup cream cheese full-fat, block style
  • * 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • * 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • * 1 large egg
  • * 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • * 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • * 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • * 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • * 1 cup jimmies sprinkles

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Mix in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold in sprinkles gently until just combined.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers still look slightly soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Do not overbake or they will lose their soft texture. Use jimmies sprinkles only to avoid color bleeding into the dough.
